Food oil and beans with price drop

Food and palm oils and beans suffered a price decrease in the second week of January. Cooking oil registered a variation of 3.13 percent, while palm oil and beans registered a variation of 1.15 percent and 1.05 percent, respectively.

These products, according to a verification by Jornal de Angola with supermarkets, are among the goods in the basic basket with great demand.

In turn, chicken thighs (0.46 percent), sugar (0.37 percent) and bombó cornmeal (0.36 percent) were the goods with the greatest price change in the second week of this month.

Compared to the first week of January, the change in prices of basic basket goods in commercial establishments, last week, was 0.43 percent.

In the period under analysis, Jornal de Angola also adds, Alimenta Angola, Martal and Maxi were the commercial establishments that registered the greatest variation, with 0.49 percent, 0.48 percent and 0.09 percent, respectively.

The Africana Discount (1.35 percent), Angomart (1.02 percent) and Candando (0.96 percent) establishments, on the other hand, saw a price reduction, writes Jornal de Angola.
