Luanda will distribute land to the population

Luanda will start distributing land to the population. This measure aims to end anarchic construction and land invasion.

:

According to a statement from the Luanda Provincial Government (GPL), the announcement was made on Sunday, January 30, by Ana Paula de Carvalho, governor of Luanda.

"The Governor of Luanda, Ana Paula de Carvalho, announced today [Sunday, January 30], in an interview with TPA's Jornal da Tarde, that in the coming months the capital will move forward with the distribution of land, aiming to put an end to the anarchic construction and the invasion of land", can be read in the note made available on the Facebook of the GPL.

The governor considered that "Luanda must be the province with the highest percentage of land invasions because it is also the most populous province in the country", with around eight million and 800 thousand inhabitants.

"To address this situation, we already have three municipalities with subdivision plans, precisely, Viana, Belas and Icolo and Bengo", she informed.

Ana Paula de Carvalho also took the opportunity to clarify that people who want to have access to a plot of land must go to the municipal administrations.

This measure, according to the GPL note, will help to avoid anarchic constructions in inappropriate places, which in many situations has put the lives of citizens at risk.
