According to a note from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the intention was discussed this Wednesday between the representatives of the two institutions and the holder of the Industry and Commerce portfolio, Victor Fernandes, who expressed the country's openness to all types of investment, which aims to help the Government in its goal of diversifying the economy.
Raff Military Textile, a company specialized in the production of equipment for the defense and security forces, intends to acquire locally the raw material, as long as the installed capacity meets its production needs.
In addition to supplying military and police clothing from Turkey, the company also serves the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and countries such as Georgia, Albania and Iraq.
By settling in Angola, the company will also be able to guarantee responses to the requests it has received from other countries in the region, namely Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Congo, Morocco, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Senegal, Chad, Togo, Mauritania, Mali and Sudan.
