Registrations for the competition opened this Monday, January 4, and will remain until February 28. Those interested in participating can, within this deadline, register and send their works for free via e-mail (leiturasassistidas@gmail.com).
The texts can be of various types: drama, comedy, musical, tragedy, among others. Once the registration phase is over, an evaluation committee, which will be composed of people linked to culture and professionals in the lyrics and performing arts, will analyze the works submitted.
The committee will choose three texts: one will be the winner and the other two will be substitutes.
The winner, besides winning 500 thousand kwanzas, will have the opportunity to publish his work in digital book, by Edições Handyman.
The two substitute texts will be read at the Cazenga Media Library Reading Club and published on the online Assisted Reading pages.
The award will be delivered on March 27th, World Theatre Day and the date on which this year's Assisted Reading program will begin, writes Angop.
The initiative, which has the support of the Brazilian Embassy and the Cultural Centre in Angola together with the Reading Club of Mediateca do Cazenga, aims to stimulate the original literary writing of the dramatic style.
