According to Notícias de Angola, quoted by the newspaper Eco, the capital increase of Nossa Seguros demonstrates "the commitment and confidence of shareholders in society" and is part of its development strategy.
With this increase - approved last October by a ministerial dispatch of Finance - the company intends to strengthen its financial strength, stability and develop its business.
Nossa Seguros is a reference in the insurance sector and is among the four largest insurance companies in the country. It was created in August 2004, through a partnership between Real Seguros, Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and a group of small Angolan investors.
The insurance company has about 20 branches spread across 12 provinces of the country. It works with life and non-life insurance, having more recently started to work with pension fund management.
