Court of Auditors audits the accounts of the Police Vault

The Court of Auditors is auditing the accounts of the outgoing management of the Cofre de Previdência do Pessoal da Polícia Nacional (CPPPN) (National Police's Pension Fund), immersed in "high debts" that led to the mortgage of its assets, was announced this Wednesday.

:

The information was transmitted by the new president of the CPPPN, Domingos Jerónimo, stating that an internal audit of the accounts of the institution is also taking place, especially before the arrival of the current management, which took office on 25 September 2019.

The person in charge who was speaking in Luanda, in the balance sheet of the 100 days of activities carried out by his management, pointed out "several irregularities" of his predecessors.

In his speech, the chief superintendent of the police also considered that the outgoing management left the institution "completely in debt" with the "empty coffers and in a "dramatic and catastrophic" situation.

According to the leader, who points to a new era for the CPPPN, with "openness, proximity and service" to its members as foreign currency, the new management has already restructured the organic and staffing structure and "boosted" the process of the supplementary retirement pension and subsidies.

"Something that has not been done for several years. The process of granting social support to members has been resumed, a right that had been banned by the outgoing management, and the process of regularising the appointments of representatives is under way", he stressed.

The National Police's Pension Fund currently has over 120,000 members.

The body was created in 1933 with the aim of ensuring special and complementary social protection for its members and their respective families.
