However, the INSS guaranteed that "no monthly installments will be canceled even if they have not provided proof of life".
Samuel Mulaza, administrator for Social Security at the National Institute of Social Security, explained that the decision stems from the measures established in the presidential decree on the state of public calamity, which aims to combat the pandemic.
Cited by Jornal de Angola, the official also made it known that when a pensioner dies, other family members have various rights and "when they do not inform the INSS, they risk losing the referred benefits".
