Cited by Angop, Greg Segas considered that Angola has set a positive example with regard to the fight against covid-19 and highlighted the fact that the number of infections and deaths has decreased.

He also made it known that these vaccines were delivered under the Covax initiative.

Alda de Sousa, coordinator of the National Vaccination Program (PAV), who on behalf of the Ministry of Health received the vaccines, took the opportunity to mention that with the arrival of this batch, the country now has more than 28 million doses of vaccines.

"So far, more than 10 million doses of vaccines have been administered, of which 6,800,000 citizens received the first dose and more than three million people received the two doses," she said, cited by Angop.

The official also took the opportunity to appeal for vaccination: "Currently, in the daily balances, we see that the incidence is reduced every day, hence the appeal to people to the health posts, because there is still half the population to be vaccinated".
