According to Vera Escórcio, head of the State Institute of Asset and Participation Management (IGAPE), Bodiva may open more capital in the future.
"What we intend is to showcase the company, put the company listed to awaken the appetite of private investors," she said, admitting that the remaining 70 percent could also be placed on the market later.
This Monday, Bodiva launched its OPV, the objective of which is to sell 30 percent of the capital, with 180,000 shares being made available (of which two percent for workers) with a nominal value of 4,500 kwanzas.
The offer period runs between November 19th and December 6th and the sale price varies between 8,633 kwanzas and 13,259 kwanzas per share, which means an income of between 1,554 and 2,386 million kwanzas for the State, the company's sole shareholder.
The dispersion on the stock market takes place ten years after Bodiva was created, at a time when the State has already received twice as much in dividends as the value of 900 million kwanzas initially invested, highlighted the company's executive president, Walter Pacheco, this Monday, in Luanda.
"Our expectation is that it will be a successful operation, we have seen a lot of interest, both from the point of view of, let's say, more institutionalized investors, and from the point of view of less institutionalized investors, but above all also a lot of interest from many young people who are interested and know the Bodiva brand well", he declared.
The company's liquidity, transparency in accounts and good results are some of the attractions for investors, according to Walter Pacheco.
"They have gained a profitable company that has already distributed to the sole shareholder so far, twice as much as he invested in Bodiva. And we have a market that is growing extensively and everything indicates that it is a market that will grow a lot in the coming years", he pointed out, highlighting the company's "fast growing" results.
The partial privatization of Bodiva was already registered in Propriv (State privatization program), administered by IGAPE.
Currently, there are three companies on the Bodiva share market: the banks BAI and Caixa Angola and the insurance company Ensa.
