15 year old angolan wins bronze at the Jiu-Jitsu world championship

Angolan Heliane Caio won, this Sunday, the bronze medal at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, which is taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

At just 15 years old, the athlete won third place by beating Russian Alhanoof Almarzooqi by 9-0, by submission.

Quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the athlete was satisfied with the achievement: "It is a great satisfaction to be able to give another medal to Angola, to be able to represent the country".

Heliane Caio also took the opportunity to thank her parents, colleagues and teachers who supported her during the championship and took stock of the three fights she had.

"I had three very tough matches, I lost the first by three points to zero, the second I managed to score nine points and submitted, I won the second fight, and unfortunately the third I lost by four points," she said.

"I took third place, I'm satisfied, it wasn't what I wanted, but I'm very satisfied for being the first Angolan to win medals in the Jiu-Jitsu championship, I hope that in the next ones I'll be able to get a better result and that my colleagues will succeed. have excellent results too", he considered.

At the World Cup, which runs until November 11th, the national delegation is made up of 15 representatives.
