In a clarification note, to which the Lusa agency had access, SIC stresses that the information circulated on social networks “does not correspond with the reality of the facts”, as the bodies of the children, aged six and eight, cousins and neighbors , were removed, this Sunday, around 10 am, in Cacuaco, on the outskirts of the city of Luanda, "due to presumed drowning diagnosis".
The SIC says that, according to statements by the parent of one of the victims, the two girls were reported missing last Friday, at about 10 am, with the family starting an intense search for the minors for two days, without success.
In the note, the SIC stressed that information was posted on social networks for its location, a situation that still generated use of people in bad faith, who thereby wanted to extort money from the family for a false ransom.
On Sunday morning, the bodies of the children emerged from the excavation of the water tank, from where they were immediately removed.
According to the SIC, the corpses of the children were subjected to medico-legal autopsy, and it was concluded that the cause of death was acute asphyxiation, due to the penetration of water into the respiratory tract, as a result of drowning in the water, according to data from the medical expert. -cool.
"Stress that despite the data obtained, due diligence continues in coordination with other forces and the local residents' commissions, to investigate more elements of this unfortunate situation", the document said.
Family members heard on Monday on public radio said that witnesses said the children were enticed by a stranger, with 50 kwanzas to buy mangoes worth 20 kwanzas, and that when the children went to hand in change, they did not return.
According to relatives of the victims, the bodies were found with signs of beatings, sexual rape and hanging.
