Félix Tshisekedi, who arrived this Monday in Luanda for a visit from some to the neighboring country, spoke to the press at the end of the meeting he had with his counterpart, João Lourenço.

The DRC head of state praised the "excellent" cooperation relations between the two countries, stressing that when he took power he prioritized a framework of permanent consultations to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Angola and the DRC.

"I came to my counterpart, President João Lourenço, to let him know about the situation that exists in my country at the moment, my plan for the exit of the crisis that is currently reigning in the DRC", said Tshisekedi.

The Congolese official said that he left Angola "very happy, very satisfied", because the explanation and proposals he gave were accepted by his counterpart.

"First of all, diplomatic and political support, but also support towards strengthening the capabilities of our defense and security forces," he said.
