Angolan Cristiano Mangovo is one of the nine artists who take part in a lusophone painting exhibition in Macau

Works by nine Lusophone artists, including the Angolan Cristiano Mangovo, will be part of an exhibition in Macau on Wednesday that aims to contribute to "the deepening of cultural relations between China and the Lusophone world," the organization announced this Monday.

The works of Cristiano Mangovo, from Angola, Jayr Peny, from Brazil, Tutu Sousa, from Cape Verde, Sidney Cerqueira, from Guinea-Bissau, Vítor Marreiros, from Macau, Suzy Bila, from Mozambique, Fernando Direito, from Portugal, Eva Tomé, from São Tomé e Príncipe, and Dulce Martins, from East Timor, will be shown at the Military Club of Macau.

"In total, 27 original works will be exhibited, three from each artist", according to a statement from the organization.

Sponsored by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Macau), the exhibition continues the series of exhibitions, "Bridges of Encounter", which the Macau Military Club has held over the past five years.

The exhibition of contemporary Lusophone painting will be on show until November 2nd.
