According to a note from the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), Francisco Patienta was arrested on Friday, following a criminal case that led to the arrest of Anata's vice president, Rodrigo Catimba.
On Friday, Francisco Patiento attended a meeting with a platform of church where the events recorded in the country were approached at the end of last month following a standstill of taxi services, protesting the price of fuel and public transport rates, which resulted in acts of vandalism, looting and destruction of public and private goods.
SIC's note underlines that Francisco Patient was arrested for facts that configure the commission of criminal association crimes, incitement to violence, attack on security and terrorism.
According to the authorities, from July 28 to 30, 30 people died and more than two hundreds were injured and more than 1500 citizens were arrested, due to the riots that occurred in several provinces, with epicenter in Luanda.
