Walter dos Santos Ananáz in 1974, in the province of Namibe. In a family of artists, she began singing at the age of 10, stepping on stage for the first time when she participated in the first regional song contest that took place in her homeland in 1985. “Quenape” (which means small), was her first song that became a real hit and marked the beginning of a successful career.
In the 90s, together with Henda Pitra, Bigu Ferreira, João Paulo, Gunza José and Eunice José, he founded the groups N’Sex Love, 02, one of the historic musical groups of that decade. Later he founded the Puro Style Project. In 2010, he began his solo career with the album “I Will Make You Happy”, introducing electronic music to the Angolan market and including the hit “Mboia”, sung in several national languages with his brother Nicol Ananaz. In 2015 and 2016, he participated as a mentor in the first “The Voice Angola”.
Walter Ananáz is a charismatic figure and faithful to his cultural roots. A true 'show man', eclectic in the way he sings, composes and dances, as well as mixing musical genres.
