Nsoki & Nelson Freitas together in “Essa Dança”

At the epicenter of Portuguese-speaking music with African rhythms, a new song is born, destined to conquer ears and hearts around the world. "Essa Dança", a collaboration between Angolan Nsoki and Cape Verdean Nelson Freitas, promises an ode to Kizomba and Afro-beat.

:

The music, tinged with warm tones, brings with it the soul of Kizomba, wrapped in the groove-oriented Afro-beats. The lyrics speak of love lived among chaos, which provides peace and is renewed with each step, with each movement.

Practically nine years after their first collaboration, in “Nha Coração” (2015), these two ‘giants’ of Lusophone music come together again to create a new bridge between Angola and Cape Verde, in a sound and linguistic harmony between Portuguese, Creole and English.

"Essa Dança" is also the result of a partnership with the editorial project 'Kizomba da Boa', dedicated to promoting and celebrating this musical and dance genre born in Angola. Shared and nurtured by all Portuguese-speaking African countries and the diaspora, the style is now also popular in Europe and Asia, where Kizomba festivals and schools are multiplying.

Nelson Freitas, whose career echoes across generations, brings his unparalleled mastery to the table, weaving sounds that incorporate R&B, hip-hop and dancehall, redefining Kizomba with each new project.

Nsoki, in turn, is a reference in Angolan music, with a trajectory marked by global influences. He released his first single in October 2012 with appearances by Nanutu and Johnny Ramos. “Meu Anjo” would later become the title of his first album, released in 2013.
