The consular body of the Portuguese Republic in Luanda refers, in a statement, that the addition of false documents "could lead to the criminal liability of the visa applicant", holder of the processes presented in his name.

According to the consulate, in most of these cases visa applicants will have resorted to services provided by "agents/intermediaries", therefore recommending the non-use of this mechanism in the process of scheduling and processing visa applications.

The note also recalls that the scheduling process for visa applications is done through the VFS Global platform (managing body of the Visa Application Centre) to which "any citizen can access freely and without restrictions".

The Consulate General of Portugal in Luanda also warns citizens that, if they use a duly certified and accredited travel agency, they must ensure that the appointment obtained is reliable and corresponds to their family group.

The Embassy of Portugal also reinforced the alert, through its official page on the social network Facebook, pointing out the action of intermediary agents who promise to speed up vacancies for the submission of visa applications or even the purchase of a visa.

The embassy even recalls that the only legal way to obtain a visa is through the general consulates of Portugal in Angola and the service provider VFS.

Dozens of citizens in Luanda continue to flock to the Portuguese consulate in search of a visa for Portugal, which they consider a gateway to Europe, in search of employment, studies, tourism or better living conditions.
