Besides favoring the citizens of the capital, this service also allowed the creation of new jobs: a hundred young people gained their first job with this new transport activity.

The service, called "Express Luanda/Viana", will be carried out by a total of 50 vehicles. According to Angop, during off-peak hours, the activity will be carried out with 15-seaters, while during peak hours, vehicles with 29 to 40 seats will circulate.

Each trip will cost 300 kwanzas. As for the itinerary, the express will make stops at Largo das Escolas, Shoprite, Estalagem, Alimenta Angola and Bomba dos Mutilados.

Along with the "Expresso Luanda/Viana", the Rosalina Expresso, a private public transport company, will provide the "Baia Shuttel", which will operate only in the center of Luanda/Baia municipality.

About the choice of the Largo das Escolas, Edgar Oseias, administrator of Rosalina Expresso, justified the decision with the fact that that area presents a scarcity of services of that style.

Cited by Angop, the responsible also made known that they will operate with multi-passes, which will allow students to have discounts of about 25 percent of the value of the ticket.

In his turn, Filipe Cumandala, provincial director of Transport, Traffic and Urban Mobility of Luanda, considered that this new service will benefit the inhabitants of that area, who are still trying to overcome several adversities regarding public transport.

He also informed that the government of Luanda will soon execute a plan that intends to favor students with discounts on public transport and also reduce the flooding at transport stops.
