According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the post will be open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
"The Palanca post is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day, with a Bonjour store of 90 square meters, and a range of national products that promote local trade," the note can be read.
The post will also offer other services: "In the restaurant area the offer Mugg & Bean On The Move, an automatic car wash service Wash, Quartz Auto Service oil change, and offers access to free wi-fi to its customers.
According to the statement, from the energy point of view, efficient infrastructures were installed that include "LED lighting throughout the station, a roof with 140 solar panels to cover 50 percent of the energy needs of the establishment.
With this new gas station it was possible to create 60 local jobs, indicates the note, which adds that "this new gas station completes the network of 40 existing gas stations, distributed in 10 coastal and central provinces of the country.
The station is part of a "larger" investment plan that illustrates the company's "will" to expand its product and service offering. According to the general manager of Total Marketing & Services Angola, quoted in the note, the company intends, by 2025, to "increase to 80 the number" of its posts in Angola.
"To date, 10 projects are underway, eight of which are for greenfield construction with the aim of increasing our presence in all provinces for the greater benefit of Angolan customers. Our service offering also extends to the B2B segment, where we want to commit to providing energy solutions tailored to the needs of companies," he added.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Natural Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, the Operational Director for Southern Africa and General Director of Total South Africa, Kane-Garcia, the Administrator of Sonangol EP, Joaquim Fernandes the President of the Executive Committee of Sonangol's Commercialization and Distribution Business Unit, Eusébio Vunge, the Country Chair Angola and General Director of Total E&P Angola, Olivier Jouny, and the General Director of Total Marketing & Services Angola, David Ducognon.
