The organization announced this Thursday in a statement sent to the Lusa news agency that Anthony B, Bonga, Dino d'Santiago & Os Tubarões, Adrian Sherwood & Omar Perry, Santrofi, Mario Lucio & The Pan African Band, Fattú Djakité, Rhodalia & Mario George Cabral and Miserable Man "are the main artists confirmed for the 2025 edition" of the festival to be held on Praia dos Moinhos, in the parish of Porto Formoso, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.

With 10 editions held, the Eco Festival Azores Burning Summer, promoted with the aim of "affirming its connection with world music and raising awareness for a more sustainable way of life", has this year "the most international lineup of all time".

"It was with this 'spirit' that the Terra Nostra brand joined the project, naming the main stage in order to enable a more international lineup and also supporting the social and environmental interventions developed within the festival", reads the press release.

The organization emphasizes that the focus on African sounds is one of the most striking characteristics of the festival that "aims to unite different cultures through music".

The 2025 edition "records the largest investment ever in a musical lineup that promises to make the audience vibrate through semba, afrobeat, highlife, morna, coladeira, funaná, reggae, dancehall, dub, soul, jazz, among others".

The source says that the Terra Nostra stage "will feature established and emerging artists, important social activists and true cultural ambassadors, coming from Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Jamaica, Italy, the United Kingdom and Portugal".

The free access program "Moinhos Revival" and "Cinema na Praia", which will take place on the NOS Stage, will soon be announced, as well as the latest on the ecological program and the community intervention projects VIVE and HABITAT.

The organization recalls that Azores Burning Summer, after being the national and Iberian winner in the category of best "Contribution to Sustainability" (2022 and 2024), received new international recognition with the award of the Iberian prize in the category of "Best Hospitality and Reception" at the Iberian Festival Awards 2025.

Access tickets are already on sale at http://azoresburningsummer.com/bilhetes and have a special price until June 30.

Azores Burning Summer has the institutional support of the Municipality of Ribeira Grande, the governments of the Azores and Cape Verde and the Parish Council of Porto Formoso.
