The lecture, aimed at high school and university students, took place in the auditorium of the University of Luanda, in Camama.

According to a note from the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), which VerAngola had access to, the lecture was organized by GGPEN, in partnership with the US Embassy in Luanda and the University of Luanda.

"The event, organized by the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), in partnership with the United States Embassy in Luanda and the University of Luanda, aims to encourage girls and women to opt for careers linked to STEM disciplines – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, which are related to the space area", reads the note.

Tusquer Pereira, one of the students, classified the lecture as useful since it made it possible to learn subjects related to space, such as following the dynamization and development of space technologies such as satellites that have been helping in the sustainable evolution of the planet, while Jenifer Fernanda, another student, considered the event as relevant as it enabled the gathering of various information for her school and personal life, writes Angop.

On his turn, Augusto da Silva, director of the Institute of Technology, Information and Communication, also cited by Angop, said that the event was an incentive for students to awaken even more interest in technologies related to space.

It should be noted that the lecture was attended by Camille Wardrop Alleyne, Danielle Wood and Ousmane Dyallo, who addressed various subjects, such as "My path to NASA and within NASA", among others.
