"UNITEL was awarded the grand prize at the 14th edition of FIB, in addition to receiving an honorable mention for the impact and innovation of our presence at the fair," reads a note from the company, to which VerAngola had access.
The award was presented by Manuel Nunes Júnior, governor of Benguela, who was accompanied by Bruno Albernaz, president of the Board of Directors of Eventos Arena.
In his speech, the governor of Benguela asked for everyone's collaboration to transform the FIB into a more efficient platform for attracting investments.
"Our province and our country need a lot of investment, especially in the private sector, in agriculture, fishing, manufacturing, tourism and other sectors that are labor-intensive," he said when he spoke at the closing ceremony of the event.
Among other aspects, he also mentioned that investing in economic diversification is the main path that will lead the country to growth and prosperity.
"We have to continue working to make our production mechanisms increasingly efficient, so that we can have comparative advantages in the production of some products in relation to the rest of the world," he added, quoted by Angop.
"I will end my brief speech by congratulating all the companies that were awarded and honored during this edition of FIB. They all deserve our highest appreciation and respect," he added.
The 14th edition of the FIB took place between May 21st and 25th, at the Ombaka stadium.
