Sovereign Fund and Barra do Dande Development Society sign agreement for future investments

The Barra do Dande Development Society and the Angolan Sovereign Fund signed a memorandum of understanding for future investments in Barra do Dande. The objective of the document is for the Barra do Dande Development Society to share legal, technical and financial information, with a view to enabling the fund to structure future investments and projects, in partnership with co-investors.

Furthermore, according to a statement sent to VerAngola, the memorandum also aims to "identify potential land where projects will be developed" by the Sovereign Fund and guarantee the necessary conditions for this acquisition by the fund.

The memorandum also outlines other main objectives, of which the "dissemination and institutional presentation of the Barra do Dande Integrated Development Free Zone Project in the local and international market stands out, integrating it into the work agenda" of the Sovereign Fund.

In addition, the "identification and promotion of financing and investment solutions for the development of core components" are also highlighted, namely the National Cereal Reserve and the Food Oil Refinery, as well as the development of the Basic Internal Infrastructures of the Phase I, says the note.

This agreement, the statement said, "represents a promising and beneficial partnership for the parties", reinforcing the commitment of society and the fund to "foster sustainable growth and strengthen commercial and economic relations".
