"About 100 girls aged between 13 and 21 years from the municipality of Lucala, in the province of Cuanza Sul, benefited from a class on menstrual education and donations of hygiene products", reads a note sent to VerAngola.
According to the note, the initiative is from Volta a África and MED21 (Association of Menstrual Education for Development).
"MED21 aims to ensure that 1,300 girls will not miss school by 2023 due to lack of products that guarantee a safe and stigma-free menstruation", the note also says.
