Air link between Luanda and Kigali will advance in the coming days

The air link between Luanda and Kigali will advance within days. According to Eduardo Octávio, Angola’s ambassador to Rwanda – who was speaking on the sidelines of a visit that national ambassadors accredited abroad made to the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE) – in the coming days, Angola will receive the first direct flight with the capital of Rwanda, Kigali, as a result of an agreement signed in May 2018 between both countries.

On the occasion, the ambassador assured that the Angolan Embassy in Rwanda is encouraging the visit of businesspeople from that country to Angola, through the first flight, with a view to their presence at the second business forum.

Cited by Jornal de Angola, Eduardo Octávio also considered that the presence of Rwandan businessmen in the country represents an opportunity for the national business community to get in touch with the Rwandan business community.

In the national market, there are companies from Rwanda exploring the fields of energy, construction and transport, said the diplomat, adding that "companies interested in investing in rural energy distribution, an important field to be explored, will arrive in the country in the coming months. , taking into account that Angola is carrying out a gradual process of electrification".

Regarding the visit to the ZEE, the ambassador classified it as relevant, since the visitors became aware of "a series of investments, which can contribute to the diversification of the economy, also resulting in the creation of more jobs", he writes the Jornal de Angola.

Promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with AIPEX, the visit is part of the involvement of diplomatic missions in attracting foreign investment, among others.
