Vinevala Farm, located in the municipality Chinguar, in Bié, expects to harvest more than six thousand tons of cereals. According to Alfeu Vinevala, owner of the farm, for the current agricultural campaign, the company estimates to harvest 6200 tons of cereals.

Alfeu Vinevala explained that at the moment corn is being harvested. Making a forecast about the harvest of the several products of the farm, the responsible estimates that the company will collect 4000 tons of corn, 2000 tons of wheat and 200 tons of beans.

Speaking to Angop, the official made it known that the farm opened an irrigation ditch that allowed it to save the crops when drought affected the region between January and February this year.

However, due to heavy rains, Vinevala Farm had losses in about 400 hectares of rice farm.

Created in 2002, the farm had as a goal to produce reindeer potatoes until last year. However, this year the project had to stop producing this food for lack of payment of debtors (debt is around 600 million kwanzas). The farm ended up betting on the production of cereals.
