Markets and street vending earn two more hours a day

The markets and street vending in Angola will operate from Tuesday to Saturday, two more hours, between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm, according to the presidential decree that defines the new rules in force in the state of disaster.

The Government approved this Monday the declaration of the state of public calamity, with new rules for the prevention of the new coronavirus, preparing a "gradual process of return to the normality of social life".

Market sellers and buyers will have to wear a face mask and observe physical distance, the same applies to street vending.

Informal street markets that involve concentration of people are prohibited. In the case of formal markets, conditions will have to be created for the distance between sellers and buyers, as well as conditions for cleaning these spaces on Sunday and Monday.
