The information was released to ANGOP this Thursday by the company's administrative director, Manuel Lourenço. The person responsible said that this store in the supermarket chain had been suffering, since last year, from some financial tightness, due to the low purchasing power of the citizens of the province.
However, this situation worsened in late March, since the State of Emergency was decreed. The company was then forced to close doors, taking into account a 'scenario of weak revenue and constant losses'.
In this way, 47 workers were left unemployed. Despite everything, those responsible for the supermarket are working together with the General Labor Inspectorate, in order to guarantee the workers' rights when they are disconnected from the company.
AngoMart, belonging to the Noble Group, opened in June 2018 and covered an area of 6000 square meters. It traded food, household appliances and hygiene products.
