Located in the province of Cuanza Sul, more specifically between Cachoeira da Binga and the detour to Conda, towards Gabela, these salt flats take on totally opposite 'identities' depending on the time of year.
If during the rainy season the place turns green and is populated by birds, during the dry season the panorama changes drastically, since with the absence of water the landscape becomes dominated by dry and salty soil, painting an arid image.
It is because of this change that this place was named 'Salinas Secas'.
