Under the responsibility of the agricultural and livestock company 'Irmãos Chaves', the manufacturing unit is, at this stage, currently capable of an annual production of 100 thousand 0.75 liter bottles. However, António Chaves, general director of the company, informed that the forecast is for this number to increase to 500 thousand next year.
Furthermore, with the launch of the first filling line for this spirit made from cassava, sugar cane and banana, the company hopes to move into the export field. According to Angop, with this line, the company plans to export, this year, approximately 20 thousand bottles of 'capuca' to the Portuguese and French markets.
Regarding the factory's sustainable growth, António Chaves made it known that it will be guaranteed by a laboratory, as well as 200 hectares to grow sugar cane.
Located in the municipality of Lucala, in Cuanza Norte, 'Irmãos Chaves' operates in the agricultural sector, provides services in the hotel sector, etc. It also has a presence in the field of coffee, cocoa and spirit production, where, since 2019, it has invested more than 25 million dollars, writes Angop.
