A conference session called 'Kupapata Talks' will be held on January 8th.
Aiming to celebrate National Culture Day, the session will take place at the National Museum of Natural History, between 9am and 8pm.
The 'Kupapata Talks' aim to promote an exchange of ideas about the role of culture in the formation of national identity and its influence in the different spheres of society.
Thus, it will consist of six round tables with the themes: 'Why is Kuduro marginalized as an art form?'; 'What measures can be applied to attract more audiences to museums/cultural spaces?'; 'How is arts teaching going in Angola?'; 'How is the state of artistic criticism in Angola?'; 'Will Kinaxixi be the city's new cultural hub?' and 'How is the visual arts business in Angola?'.
The conversations will be facilitated by different cultural actors, such as Cecília Gourgel, Aminata Goubel, José Luís Mendonça and Mestre Van.
