The “Seeds for the Future” initiative is back, Huawei's global corporate responsibility program in partnership with Unitel, whose objective is to train the best university students in the most advanced information and communication technologies (ICTs).
The opportunity will be given to 10 students, as in 2019, for an experience of cultural immersion and introduction to Mandarin in Beijing, as well as a visit to the Huawei campus in Shenzhen. During the visit, which takes place from March 23 to April 3, students will experience the working environment of a “giant” company in the area of information and communication technologies. These students will interact with Huawei professionals at their headquarters, visit research and development labs, watch a demonstration of several innovative solutions, such as 5G, LTE, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, and see up close the skills necessary for success in the area of ICTs in a multicultural, innovative and creative environment.
The deadline for submitting applications runs from 27 January to 7 February. Students from all over the country, under the age of 30, who are enrolled in the third year or above, at universities or higher institutes accredited by the Government of Angola in the following areas of study are eligible for the program: Electrotechnical Engineering and Telecommunications, Engineering of Informatics, Telecommunications Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Management Informatics, Mechatronics Engineering and Electronic Engineering. Students must have an annual average of 14 values, fluency in English, and a valid passport.
