The country's banking system already allows citizens to buy up to 120,000 dollars a year. Travel and private unilateral transfers are some of the things citizens can use their money for.
According to a statement by the National Bank of Angola, cited by Angop, citizens who want to buy the dollars no longer need to present a supporting document. Now, for the transaction to be accepted it is only necessary to assess the financial situation of the applicant.
On the same note, the BNA left a warning to the population: all those who want to do foreign exchange operations should only do so in banks to ensure that they are not being cheated. The warning comes after the bank has identified a constant circulation of false notes in the country.
