First Integrated Public Security Center in the country opened on Monday

Since Monday, the country has its first Integrated Center for Public Security (CISP), an infrastructure created to facilitate the exchange of information between the police and security agencies of the country through technological means.

The project, built in Luanda, was inaugurated by the President, João Lourenço, and was financed by a credit line from China, whose value was not disclosed.

The CISP, built in an area of ​​about 8,000 square meters, has a video surveillance room, a dispatch service room, a rapid response command center, and a laboratory. Citizens can access services via the emergency telephone line 111.

With the support of more than 700 cameras installed in Luanda, police work is now facilitated in identifying people and monitoring public spaces, with the project extending to 16 other provinces.

At the inauguration, Interior Minister, Eugénio Laborinho, emphasized the center's multiple valences, with emphasis on real-time coordination with different public and private institutions for the rapid and effective resolution of security issues, with a direct impact on the life of the center. citizen.

According to the official, the reaction capacity of this center is not limited to the physical space, considering the technological component, which allows the coordination of prevention and relief actions, with different mobile and fixed structures, equipped to respond to any request.

The minister said that public safety was strengthened with regard to the identification of possible suspects, supervision of strategic infrastructures, real-time cartographic registration, tracking, vehicle identification and road traffic control.

Action developed in integration with the various databases of public services and agencies, namely civil and criminal identification, migration management systems, voter registration, tax identification, management of sporting events, religious, political, through drones.

For the operation of CIPS, 45 officers were trained in China, specializing in management and science, as well as 600 other locally trained staff in the field of GPS, closed circuit television, public service management, data collection, criminal analysis, operations and maintenance of hardware and software.

For the operation of the CISP, the Government also acquired border patrol aircraft and communication vehicles
