Intensive Workshop of Applications for Cultural Projects and Cultural Journalism

Between the 13th and 18th of May, an Intensive Workshop of Applications for Cultural Projects and Cultural Journalism will be held at the Instituto Guimarães Rosa.

The workshop, which is open through free registration for professionals in the cultural sector, journalists and journalism students, is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut Angola in partnership with Camões – Centro Cultural Português, Standard Bank Angola and the European Union Delegation in Angola.

The training will have the following modules: "Project Presentation Structure", given by Edmilia Barros; "Financial Plan and Accounts Report", which will be given by Ana Tica; "Communication Plan", to be taught by Petra Mendes; "Event Production", to be given by Poupée Martinho; "Ecological Awareness", which will be taught by Rosemaire Luis, and "Cultural Journalism", under the responsibility of Paula Cardoso.

In the field of journalism, journalists and journalism students will have a module aimed at producing texts in cultural journalism.

This event, which has a theoretical and practical aspect, aims to provide participants with appropriate knowledge and tools that make it possible to adapt artistic and cultural project proposals to each funding program, identifying the basic principles necessary when preparing an application. In addition, examples and strategies for raising alternative support and other tips considered useful in the application preparation phase will also be shared, as well as sharing some international financing programs available for Africa.

Registration is free and can be done online here. The number of places is limited to 15 and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
