The call for the National Consultative Council, with the motto "Rethink CASA-CE Faced with the Present Context" states that the meeting will be made "a deep and exhaustive reflection on the present and future of the coalition".
At the meeting, delegates are invited to present proposals and point out ways to revitalize the organization, created in 2008 by politician Abel Chivukuvuku (currently elected deputy in UNITA's lists), and its projection in the national political landscape.
The meeting takes place two months after the holding of the general elections on 24 August, "whose defined results, considered to be fraudulent, dictated the removal of CASA-CE from the arc of legislative power", highlights the document.
The meeting, which will be led by the leader of CASA-CE, Manuel Fernandes, has a three-point agenda, with emphasis on the analysis of the "situation of CASA-CE, present and future".
CASA-CE, which was the third political force in parliament, did not get any mandate and was out of parliament in the new legislature, after the general elections on 24 August last.
The coalition, which doubled the number of parliamentary seats in the 2017 general elections, with 16 seats against the eight it had won in the 2012 general elections, saw its headquarters vandalized after this year's election, for failure to pay its list delegates.
In 2019, the coalition began to face an internal crisis, with the removal, in February of that year, of Abel Chivukuvuku from the leadership of CASA-CE, by decision of five of the six parties that make up the political formation, having been replaced in office by André Mendes de Carvalho "Miau".
Two years later, André Mendes de Carvalho "Miau" also made the position available, responding to the request of four of the six parties that made up the coalition, being replaced by Manuel Fernandes.
With the departure of the Democratic Bloc (BD), CASA-CE has since been integrated by the Angolan Pacific Party (PPA), Support Party for Democracy and Development of Angola – Patriotic Alliance (PADD – AP), National Salvation Party of Angola (PNSA) and the People's Democratic Party of the National Alliance of Angola (PDP-ANA), the Free Alliance Party of Angolan Majority (PALMA).
