João Lourenço creates inter-ministerial commission to prepare institutionalization of municipalities

This Tuesday, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, created the Interministerial Commission for the Elaboration and Implementation of the Integrated Plan for the Institutionalization of Local Authorities.

According to a note from the Press Center of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola (CIPRA), to which VerAngola had access, the commission was created following the process of administrative deconcentration and decentralization.

"The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, created today, 18 October, the Interministerial Commission for the Elaboration and Implementation of the Integrated Plan for the Institutionalization of Local Authorities, following the process of administrative deconcentration and decentralization", reads the note.

According to the statement, the commission will be coordinated by the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, and will have as assistant coordinator the Minister of Territory Administration, Dionísio da Fonseca.

The commission also includes "holders of the Ministries of the Interior, Justice and Human Rights, Finance, Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication", advance the note.

The Secretary of the President of the Republic for Political and Parliamentary Affairs and the Secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform Affairs are also part of the commission.
