According to a note posted on Facebook by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the secretary of State considered it important "to create unifying contexts to open the way for the effective internationalization of African companies, highlighting political efforts to implement and operationalize a common market African continent, such as the African Continental Free Trade Area".
Ivan Pedro's words were uttered at the opening act of the webinar on the internationalization of Angolan companies in ECOWAS, which served as an antechamber to launch the first edition of the Angola-ECOWAS International Business Fair (FINAC).
Regarding FINAC, which will take place in the first quarter of next year in Luanda, the secretary of State said he hopes that it will serve as a space to create "common visions that allow the leverage of commercial exchanges to strengthen the economies of the countries and consequently improving the quality of life of its citizens".
Domingos Vieira Lopes, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, admitted that ECOWAS "represents a large consumer market, eager to buy products from Angola and to do business with the Angolan market. Therefore, constant reinforcement is important of relationships".
The creation of FINAC was also praised by the business class of the Economic Community of West African States in Angola.
The fair is expected to bring together more than 300 exhibitors, both national and foreign, "with investments in the sectors of agribusiness, industry, commerce, sport, tourism, among other segments".
"The event aims to be a platform to facilitate business and trade integration between Angola and ECOWAS", the note says, adding that the event aims to "contribute to the improvement of commercial relations, business promotion, identification of investment opportunities and increase in exports".
