This will be the first shipment of "Angolanita" coffee, after Novagrolíder's commitment to the cultivation and promotion of coffee beans.

Speaking to the press during the presentation of a new brand, called "Café do Povo", José Macedo, the company's general director, revealed that the industrialization of coffee beans and the consequent internationalization of national coffee are the challenges facing the company is proposed in the near future.

This coffee is produced in the fertile highlands of the municipality of Quibala, in Kwanza Sul, being a differentiated product in Angola because it is 100% 'Arabica', one of the most sought after varieties of coffee in the world market.

Thus, the official assured that the company will maintain its commitment to the production and transformation of coffee. "Currently, the demand for coffee is increasingly evident in several countries around the world, especially among the people of Asia, who habitually consume tea," he said, quoted by Angop.

The vast world demand is a challenge not only for businessmen but also for the Executive, whose intentions are to reaffirm investment in grain production with a view to exporting on a world scale.

According to José Macedo, Novagrolíder wants to support small producers who own land around the production areas, in order to reactivate coffee cultivation and production in the country, recalling that Angola was once the world's fourth largest producer of this bean.

With a coffee plantation of more than 50 hectares, the director-general says that the company plans to harvest around 250 tons of beans.

Novagrolíder, a company belonging to Grupo Líder, occupies a prominent place in the national market with regard to the production and export of bananas. However, it is present in various market sectors such as horticulture, fruit growing, livestock, dairy, fish farming, agro-industry and the food industry.
