ANPG and Eni announce the start of the Cabaça Norte development project in Block 15/06

The production of the Cabaça Norte development project, in Block 15/16, starts this Friday, 24th of September. The information was released this Friday by the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), through a statement.

:

In the note sent to VerAngola, ANPG and Italian operator Eni "confirm the entry into production of the Cabaça Norte development project, in Block 15/06, located in deep Angolan waters, through the floating production, storage and transfer unit ( "FPSO") Armada Olombendo".

The Cabaça Norte development project, operated by Eni, has an estimated peak production of around 15,000 barrels of oil per day. In addition, this project "will increase and sustain the Armada Olombendo plateau, a zero process flaring and discharge FPSO, with a global capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil per day."

"The start-up of Cabaça Norte is yet another example of how Eni Angola and its partners, under the aegis of ANPG, continue to create value in Block 15/06 through their infrastructure exploration strategy, generating a line of effective subsea connections and maximizing the use of existing facilities in the area in a sustainable way," the statement said.

According to the note, this is the second announcement of the start of production made by Eni Angola this year, after the company anticipated production in the Cuica field in July.

However, a third announcement is still expected in the near future: "A third is still expected in the coming months, with the early start-up of production at Ndungu, in the western area of Block 15/06".

Block 15/16 is operated by Eni Angola, with a 36.84 percent stake. Sonangol Pesquisa & Produção (36.84 percent) and SSI Fifteen Limited (26.32 percent) complete the rest of the contractor group.
