Former President José Eduardo dos Santos is in intensive care at a clinic in Barcelona where he has been receiving medical treatment since 2019, a source close to the former head of state confirmed this Thursday to Lusa.

The news of the deterioration of the health status of José Eduardo dos Santos and admission to an intensive care unit was released on Thursday night by Negócios.

José Eduardo dos Santos was President of Angola for 38 years, between 1979 and 2017, serving one of the longest presidencies in the world.
