Guizef exhibits “Figuras e Cores” at Galeria Artistas de Angola

The exhibition “Figures and Colors”, with 20 works by the Angolan artist Guizef, will be on display until July 24 at the Galeria Artistas de Angola, in Lisbon.


The works, all in acrylic on canvas, where Angolan faces, looks and expressions will be highlighted, “with all their details, emotions and manifestations”, are curated by Guizef himself, with the support of photographer António Silva and architect João Paixão. saved.

In the words of the artist Guizef, “Figuras e Cores” is an “artistic text”, where he talks about his people, “their values, cultural colors and their evolutions”, and where he seeks to “present the remarkable 'Made in Africa' ' inside the machine of globalization”.

“In all the pieces on display, the wealth and variety of the Angolan people is evident, their colors, clothes, ornaments, manifestations and cultural surroundings”, he underlines, quoted by the gallery, about the realistic works.

Augusto Zeferino Guilherme (Guizef), born in Ambriz, in the province of Bengo, on January 12, 1969, is self-taught and a member of the National Union of Plastic Artists (UNAP).
