Gelson Dala 'jumps' off the bench to guarantee the team’s triumph in the Portuguese championship

In a match that opposed Rio Ave to Vitória de Setúbal, from the recently resumed Primeira Liga - the main echelon of Portuguese football - the Angolan entered the 59th minute of the game and scored the winning goal.

The match started with the visiting team taking the lead, by Guedes, on 25 minutes. However, just two minutes later Vitória de Setúbal would end up in equality in a penalty realized by the Iranian Taremi.

Equality was maintained after a few minutes, until the hour of play Gelson Dala was the bet of coach Carlos Carvalhal to attack the victory. The Angolan striker, already nicknamed "secret weapon", left the bench to solve the game 10 minutes before the end of regulation time. This was also the goal 600 of the Portuguese Football League.

This victory earned Rio Ave the climb to fifth place in the championship, with 44 points.

In the last nine games Gelson Dala has scored five times, for a total of 274 minutes on the pitch. The striker, loaned to Rio Ave by Sporting Clube de Portugal, is already the third best scorer of the team.
