Canada is interested in importing reindeer potatoes ‘made in Angola’

The reindeer potato 'made in Angola' caught the attention of Canada, which is interested in importing this product. The information was provided by the vice president of the Angola-Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

:

"We identified in Canada that most of the production comes from Jamaica (...) and they have every interest in also diversifying suppliers of these products to their country", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

"The reindeer potato there is from Jamaica, it has no flavor," he added.

According to RNA, the official also indicated that more than 20 businessmen from that country linked to the agribusiness sector showed Angola's intention to become the main supplier of that product to Canada.

In addition, the official also said that they are analyzing other products on the Angolan market that may arouse the interest of Canadians: "We are currently also studying the possibility of knowing more or less up to 10 to 20 products that Canada could interest in the Angolan market, which is so that we can actually pass on this information to the sector as well".

According to RNA, the Angola-Canada Chamber of Commerce will attend the first international fertilizer fair with a view to dealing with matters related to the cooperation agreement between Angola and Canada in the agribusiness sector.
