The work that has been done by the holder of the Finance portfolio for the viability of public finances and her ability to manage challenging general economic problems in the current scenario was the basis of the distinction, justify the organizers of the event, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
The organization also substantiates the distinction with the "courageous reformist agenda for the renewal of confidence in the Angolan economy and the mobilization of resources for the transformation of infrastructure".
The minister, in a message sent to the organization of the event, thanked the distinction and stated that she will continue to work to "improve the quality" of the country's finances and economy.
"Allow me to thank you once again for the distinction you have given, not only to me, but to the entire team at the Ministry of Finance of Angola and to all young people in Angola, who have hope and believe that it is possible to be young, to be honest , to be aligned with the best practices and to be recognized locally and internationally for that", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
"We will continue to do everything in our power to improve the quality of our Public Finances, our economy and the well-being of Angolan citizens", added the minister.
This is not the first time that an Angolan minister has been recognized with this title: in 2014, Armando Manuel, at the time Minister of Finance, also won the award for "Finance Minister of the Year", writes Jornal de Angola.
