Celebrating 40 years since it was created, the "Top dos Mais Queridos" 2022 - launched last Friday by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) - will take place on October 7 and will feature several artistic categories: music, dance and poetry recitation.
In addition, this year's contest will take on a different format from previous editions. According to José Ndalinho, artistic director of the commission that organizes the event, quoted by Angop, this edition will have no contestants or votes, taking into account the current situation in the country with the elections being held in August.
Pedro Cabral, PCA of RNA, pointed out that, despite celebrating the 40th anniversary of the "Top dos Mais Queridos", some conditions led to a different attitude, given the mischaracterization of the radio broadcast programming, by categorical legal in an election year.
Also quoted by Angop, the official also referred that the changes in this edition concern the word "vote", which can create confusion among listeners, since it is also the watchword for the elections.
The group "Os Picantes" were the big winners of the last edition of the top, which is promoted by Radiodifusão Nacional de Angola and aims to distinguish the songs of singers or bands.
