SSP announces farewell from the stages. Group makes last public appearance at Unitel 'Festa da Música'

The SSP group announced its farewell from the stage, with a last public appearance taking place at Unitel 'Festa da Música'. According to the announcement made by Big Nelo – a member of the quartet that appeared on the market about three decades ago – the last step up to the stage will take place at the 7th edition of Unitel 'Festa da Música', which will take place on the 4th and 11th of June and 2 July in Huíla, Benguela and Luanda.

Despite considering that the last public appearance will be marked by moments of a lot of nostalgia, Big Nelo stated that the group wants to toast the fans with one last performance.

"We had an obligation to give satisfaction to SSP fans. We managed to convince Jeff Brown to reconsider his previous position for this last moment, a request he accepted and we thanked him for his attitude", said the musician, quoted by Angop.

Big Nelo also made it known that the group will say goodbye in a big way, as they will perform their greatest hits.

Created in 1991, the group has in its musical history hits such as "Eu só Quero te amar", "Olhos café", "É bom", "Te quiero", among many others.

It should be noted that the SSP, in 1997, won the awards for best album and best hip-hop group with the album "99 percent love" by Rádio Luanda and, with "Odisseia", won the title of best album and group of hip-hop-rap from Angola by RTP/Africa, among other awards.

In 2019, the group came together to celebrate their 28th anniversary and in September 2020 they took the stage at 'Live no Kubico'.
