Angola recalls Rui Nabeiro and his passion for coffee as an “inspiring legacy”

Businessman Rui Nabeiro, founder of Grupo Nabeiro - Delta Cafés, died on Sunday at the age of 91, following respiratory problems, at Hospital da Luz, in Lisbon.

This Monday, the administrator of the municipality of Cazenga (Luanda) expressed a deep sense of “sorrow and dismay” at the death of Rui Nabeiro, considering that the Portuguese businessman leaves an “inspiring legacy for his passion for coffee and human qualities”.

Tomás Bica, in a condolence note, says that Rui Nabeiro, founder of the Nabeiro group and Angonabeiro, Delta's subsidiary in Angola, whose factory is based in Cazenga, in Luanda, has generated several jobs, especially for young people in the municipality.

The well-known commander, notes Tomás Bica, “coffee lover” and “responsible for the success of the leading company in the roasted coffee market in Angola, leaves an inspiring legacy for his passion for coffee and human qualities”.

The municipal administrator of Cazenga, one of the nine municipalities in the capital, also addresses, on behalf of himself and his employees, the “deepest feelings of regret”, to the family and company employees, praising the role of the business group for its contribution to development from Cazenga.
