For the French head of state, who was speaking in Luanda at the closing of the Angola and France Economic Forum, which addressed the launch of the production partnership in the agricultural and agri-food sector between both countries, Angola's commitment to the diversification of its economy is fundamental.

According to Macron, the topics addressed at the forum, which brought together more than 30 French businessmen, the content of the work should contribute to Angolan companies having "French partners involved in greater agricultural production" in the Portuguese-speaking country.

The aim is for them to "live better and export more", he said, recalling the priorities defined at the forum, which also addressed the challenges, opportunities and investment potential in the Angolan agricultural sector.

"Priorities have been defined, such as the production of corn, cassava, soy, cotton, coffee, cereals, livestock, fish farming, what we can do is to intensify our efforts for professional training, we are Angola's main partners in this sector and this will be consolidated and we will go even further", he assured.

Macron, who is on an official visit to Angola, also highlighted the actions of his government and French businessmen in Angola, namely in climate resilience and food security programs and others.

"So, what we can do is further expand this partnership with the segments that they have identified in order to have concrete results", he stressed, also admitting the reinforcement of the research protocol, particularly in the meteorology sectors of both countries.

Micro and small Angolan companies in the agricultural and agri-food sector will have the support of French financial institutions, especially for the development of the two production capacities, stressed the President of France.

Macron also noted that the forum demonstrated that businessmen from the two countries must build economic diversification together and respond to Angola's challenges, in a joint action and "without imposing ready-made models".

"We have to defend reciprocal interests, that's why I'm counting on you because in addition to speeches, the important thing is to have concrete results, factories that are built, farms that work and that is good for the economy, for the Angolan people and we will create collective values together", concluded the head of state.

French businessmen from the sectors of animal protein transformation, milk production, cereals, fertilizers and others participated in this forum, which ended this Friday at the Money Museum, in Luanda.
