At stake are the companies Westside Investments and Semba Comunicações, which had as partners the brothers Welwischia "Tchizé" dos Santos and José Eduardo Paulino dos Santos "Coréon Dú", who managed channel 2 of the Public Television of Angola until the chain's administration put end of the contract, in 2018, after José Eduardo dos Santos (who died last year) left the Presidency of the country, which he led for 38 years, succeeding João Lourenço.
The list, which Lusa had access to, also includes the Marina Baía Yacht Club venture, which the Angolan press points out as being linked to Tchizé, Álvaro Sobrinho and Sílvio Alves Madaleno, the company Mar & Yates, in addition to Fraxa Service and Brefaxa & Filhos, linked to Bento Francisco Xavier, former vice-governor of Cuando Cubango and who was also heard in court in the context of the "Lussaty case", in which Major Pedro Lussaty was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the crimes of transporting currency abroad, for currency retention and money laundering.
The letter from the National Asset Recovery Service (Senra) of the Attorney General's Office is dated 16 February and says that the companies in question are targeted within the scope of property and financial investigation processes that are being processed in court.
The businesswoman and daughter of former president Isabel dos Santos, also in the hands of Angolan justice, has been the most visible phase of João Lourenço's fight against corruption, which has mainly targeted family members and generals who were close to José Eduardo dos Santos.
Isabel dos Santos, who is wanted on suspicion of "crimes of embezzlement, qualified fraud, illegal participation in business, criminal association and influence peddling, money laundering," has denied all accusations, complains of harassment and claims to be unaware of the existence of an Interpol arrest warrant against you.
Sister Tchizé dos Santos, like Isabel who has lived outside Angola for several years, also accuses João Lourenço of persecuting the Dos Santos family and of having been threatened.
Tchizé dos Santos, 'influencer' and businesswoman, was also linked to the Vida TV channel, suspended in 2021 by the Government who alleged "nonconformities".
In another letter dated January 30, to which Lusa had access, Senra asks condominiums to inform "as soon as possible" about the existence of properties registered in the respective databases in the name of Sianga Kivuila Samuel Abílio.
Sianga Abílio worked for several years at the state-owned oil company Sonangol, where he was an administrator, vice-minister for the Environment and then moved on to a diplomatic career, and is currently accredited as ambassador to South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda and to the offices of the Organization of United Nations (UN) in Nairobi.
Senra conducted other offices similar to condominiums, aimed at identifying real estate belonging to the Sociedade de Empreendimentos e Obras Públicas (SEOP) and Luzy-Sociedade de Gestão e Negócios, also linked to Tchizé dos Santos, from the dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University Agostinho Neto, Redento Carlos Maia, and Bartolomeu Augusto Teca, linked to Caixa Social of the Angolan Armed Forces.
